1. What should I expect?
    1. After checking in, you'll be escorted to your private luxurious suite with a state-of-the art sensory deprivation floatation pod, a shower and a changing room. Following a brief shower, you'll enter the floatation pod and enjoy 60 minutes of bliss and deep relaxation. A voice prompt will indicate the end of your session and to exit the pod. You'll rinse off again and return to your private changing area. Your flotation experience concludes with one of our freshly brewed specialty tea blends in our serene lounge.

  2. What should I do to prepare?
    • Do not shave or wax 24 hours prior to floating
    • Avoid eating and drinking caffeine and alcohol at least 90 minutes before your floating session
    • Be prepared to remove your contact lenses so please bring a case and solution
    • Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your session to check-in and complete the waiver (if not completed on-line).
  3. What's the minimum age to use the Floatation pods?
    1. The Minimum age to use MIZU's facilities is 18 years of age.
  4. What should I wear while floating?
    1. Flotation pod suites are completely private. We recommend not wearing anything at all to fully experience zero-gravity. With that said, you’re certainly welcome to wear a swimsuit but please be aware that your experience may be altered.
  5. What if I don’t know how to float?
    1. No worries. The Epsom salt solution is so dense that your body naturally and effortlessly floats.
  6. What if I recently colored/dyed my hair?
    1. We recommend waiting at least 5 days after coloring your hair to come floating. Please make sure the water runs clear when washing your hair prior to floating.
  7. What if I recently received a tattoo?
    1. Please wait 14 days before floating.
  8. Can I float if I’m menstruating?
    1. No, please contact us to reschedule.
  9. Can I wear jewelry or a watch while floating?
    1. No, the salt concentration is too harsh on all metals and jewelry types. We recommend you remove all jewelry and watches prior to floating.
  1. Is the water clean?
    1. Yes, the water is completely filtered at least three times between each float though a one micron particulate filter then treated via germicidal UV lamp, ozone, and hydrogen peroxide. We test and monitor our water daily to ensure it is clean and safe. Finally, the 1,100lbs of Epsom salt, dissolved into the water, is a natural and highly effective sanitizer.
  2. What should I bring?
    1. We provide robes, towels, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryers and much more. Each floater will have access to a private, luxurious changing room within his or her suite. We do, however, recommend you bring your personal haircare products and toiletries to use after your floating session.
  3. What if I am claustrophobic?
    1. You’re always in control of the environment; you can choose to leave the lid open, and you can get out anytime.
  4. Can two people float at the same time?
    1. Although the pod is spacious enough to accommodate two people, we only allow 1 person at a time.
  5. What if I wear contact lenses?
    1. Please be prepared to remove them so bring a case and solution.
  6. Can I float if I have eczema?
    1. As long as you are not experiencing a flare of your eczema (i.e. redness, cracking, bleeding, blisters), there should not be any issue with floating. We do recommend covering your dry skin with provided vaseline to avoid any irritation with the salt.
  7. What if I am pregnant?
    1. Floating is NOT RECOMMENDED during pregnancy.
  8. What do you float in?
    1. You float in a state-of-the-art floatation pod that is made in the USA- the exact same equipment used by professional sports franchises for their elite athletes.
  9. What kind of salt do you use?
    1. We only use pharmaceutical grade (USP) epsom salt made in the USA, We do not use imported foreign salt of uncertain purity.
